STARKISSED LA is a queer-woman-of-color owned and operated private tattooing studio located in East Hollywood, Los Angeles. As artists and clients ourselves, we have personally experienced the lack of queer and POC spaces in the art world, especially in the Los Angeles tattooing scene. While tattooing should be fun, inevitably, it is also an intimate and vulnerable experience to entrust your body with us. We thank you for considering our work and energy. We’re so excited to grow and learn as a collective creating space for those interested in getting tattoos to feel safe, seen, and celebrated.

Billy
Billy (she/they) is originally from Houston, Texas. Outside of tattooing, Billy is a painter and a model with an adoration for the outdoors. You can usually find her on a hike with her two dogs or working on art in her home studio.
Billy is a machine and handpoke artist whose art focuses on all the things she loves such as abstract shapes, animals, and fun.
Gillianne
Our newest addition, Gillianne (she/her) is from the East Coast and moved to LA in late 2025. She is a Korean-American handpoke tattoo artist, mother of 2 shelter pups, and fashion lover. Her art is inspired by her surroundings, nature, and Asian culture. She loves the organic and soft charm of handpoke.
Outside of tattooing you can find Gillianne cafe hopping, hiking with her pups, and vintage shopping.
Jet
Jet (she/they) is a queer tattoo artist born in the Philippines and raised in various parts of Asia.
Their work is characterized by a minimalist and fine line style, often featuring monochromatic palettes and detailed, illustrative designs. Jet creates tattoos that blend whimsical motifs with modern, abstract elements. They have also created their own version of Baybayin blackletter script. In addition to tattooing, Jet also DJs, bringing a unique sense of rhythm and creativity to both their music and their art.
Kat
Kat (she/her) is a handpoke artist, music lover, and admirer of antique objects. Her art is inspired by cute animals, analog art, iron wrought gates, and vintage patterns. Her favorite thing about stick + poke or any analog art is the charm that comes from it looking handmade.Kyra
Kyra (she/they) is a Chinese-Indonesian artist born and raised in South Pasadena. She loves all things active, stimulating, and beautiful. Nature and music are large sources of inspiration for her art and tattoos. You can find Kyra climbing, dancing with friends, or in her bed chillin.
Kyra is a machine tattoo artist with a focus on mixing fine line and black work style tattoos. She is always up for a challenge!
Madison
Madison (she/her) was born and raised in California. Outside of tattooing, Madison is a stay at home cat mom that loves to bake. She makes art in her free time and loves to run all over la!
Madison is a handpoke artist whose art revolves around her culture, love for music and the present world around her.
Maya
Maya (she/her) is a handpoke artist born in Ohio and raised in LA. With a background in graphic design, her art includes both traditional and modern elements with intricate and delicate line work, taking inspiration from vintage illustrations.
Apart from tattooing, Maya loves her kitties, fashion, playing guitar, and producing music.
Mica
Mica (she/they) is a queer Latina tattoo artist born and raised in Los Angeles. She loves to cook, hike, and make ceramics and silly crafts in her free time. Her art style is whimsical and dainty with a slight edge, and she is inspired by cute animals, fantastical cartoons, and album art.
Mica is a machine tattooer who weaves pointillism and fine line techniques into pieces dotted with childlike wonder.
Vy
Vy (she/they) is originally from Houston, Texas. Outside of tattooing, Vy is a community organizer currently working in transit justice to make California more walkable. You can usually find them with their foster pitbull walking around Highland Park or sitting in the sun reading the newest romantasy book.
Vy is a handpoke artist, whose art focuses on kinship, nature, and the best parts of home.
