Interested in Guesting?

Message us on Instagram for a spot and we’ll be in communication within 48 hours. Once we’ve confirmed your guest spot, we’ll send more details.

Workspace

  • We have a comfortable two-story space! This means we have 5 tattoo bed stations as well as a cozy waiting area downstairs and a drawing room/kitchen/smoking patio upstairs.
  •    - In the kitchen we have a mini fridge, microwave, cups, and utensils for your lunch/snacks
  • Guests will be assigned to a station (bed and husky) for their time at Starkissed, depending on what residents are not working on each day.
  • If you need help with finding something in the studio or borrowing something not in the guest cart, our residents will be friendly, kind, and ready to chat and help.

Supplies

  • Guest Artists are responsible for their machines, color inks, and needles.
    • Materials provided for guests include: bibs, bed covers, barrier film, plastic wrap, Sensi-Wrap, stencil paper, (standard and Bluetooth Phomemo) stencil printer, regular printer, printer paper, black ink, ink caps, razors, paper towels, XS-L gloves, tongue depressors, hand soap, green soap, Madacide, alcohol, and distilled water.
    • Guests will find all of these supplies in our designated guest carts, which are under the stairs of our first floor. If you’re missing any additional supplies, you can always ask the residents in the studio!

Clientele

  • Each artist is responsible for securing and scheduling their own clients and appointments. Fellow artists can support bookings, pricing, and other tips. If you’re having trouble booking please let us know so we can bump your flash and posts.
  • We want everyone who comes to Starkissed to feel at home.  Our studio is meant to be a positive, supportive, and welcoming environment. This means acknowledging strangers and treating everyone in the studio as friends. Clients and their friends are welcome to take a seat in our waiting area, help themselves to available refreshments, and peruse the flash books.

Cleaning

  • The studio is deep cleaned by a different pair of resident artists every week. We expect every artist to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the studio, including guests.
  • Please have BBP certifications and be ready to submit proof before your guest spot.
  • We ask that guests sweep and mop any debris or waste from their station at the end of each day.

Fee Breakdown

  • As a queer, woman-of-color run space, we prioritize guests who identify as women or gender queer, and/or as a person of color.
  • BIPOC artists pay StarKissedLA a 20% cut from each tattoo, with a $100 daily maximum.
  • Non-BIPOC artists pay a 25% cut from each tattoo with a $125 daily maximum. This is to filter potential artists who identify as allies to our mission and believe in reparative justice.
  • This fee should be deposited at the end of each day of your stay via Venmo.

Access to the Space

  • Guests will be given temporary codes to enter our building and to our door key before their stay, that must be returned to the lock box at the end of your guest stay. One of the guest coordinators (Mica or Billy) will take the lead on this.
  • Communication: Please be in direct communication with the studio @starkissedla, Mica / @sangredelcielo or Billy / @bi11ybadass about the days you’re working, and let us know if dates change based on how booked you become.
